Auto-farm BETA

Your character keeps farming while you step away: kills what is near, keeps its buffs, drinks, rests, and stops when it runs out of something. Solo only, online only, within a daily time budget.

Beta. Auto-farm is in beta. Settings, limits and the loot penalty may change, and a session can stop for reasons the window does not explain yet. Report anything odd with .bug and it gets fixed the same week.

Rules and risks

Your character, your risk

Auto-farm plays your character exactly as an AFK player would: it does not think, it does not run, and nobody watches it for you. Whatever happens to the character while it farms is yours to carry, the same as if you had walked away from the keyboard.

  • Death and its XP loss. The loop fights what comes for you but cannot judge a fight; a roaming raid, a train of monsters, or an empty potion bag ends the same way as for any AFK character.
  • Potions are consumed as configured until they run out, and the buffer fee is paid every time buffs are renewed.
  • With the inventory stop turned off, a full bag means new drops land on the ground and vanish.
  • A session ends silently for the reasons below while you are away. Nothing pauses the clock, the monsters, or the other players.

Rules

One person, one session
One auto-farm at a time per master account, whatever the number of characters. Every start is logged with the account and the address it came from. Running a second session through another master account is multi-account abuse: it is not blocked on the spot, it is found in the logs and punished.
The only automation allowed
Auto-farm is the one sanctioned way to farm unattended. Third-party bots, macros, click tools and anything that plays for you remain bannable, auto-farm running or not.
No claim to a spot
An auto-farming character owns nothing. An active player may farm the same camp and take its monsters; the loop never touches a monster someone else is fighting and yields by design.
PvP is on you
Attacking an auto-farmer follows the normal PvP flag and karma rules. It will not defend itself, flee, or log out. Do not leave it where you would not leave an AFK character.
Monsters only, half loot
Full XP and SP, half adena, drops and spoil, no Bounty Hunt credit. Raids, quest monsters and other players are never targets.

How to start

  1. Walk to the spot you want to farm. Where you press Start becomes the centre of the farm area.
  2. Type .autofarm in chat to open the window. Check the Area and Supplies pages the first time.
  3. Press Start, or type .autofarm on. A line at the top of the screen shows how much time you have left today.
  4. To stop: press Stop in the window, type .autofarm off, or sit down.

Playing pauses, stopping is explicit. Anything you do yourself - walking, clicking a monster, casting, talking to an NPC - makes the loop wait until you are idle again. Paused time is not charged. Only the Stop button, .autofarm off, sitting down, or one of the rules below ends the session.

You cannot start it while dead, in a party, flagged for PvP, or carrying karma; in a town or peace zone; while trading, in a private store, or with a pending invite or request; while fishing, mounted, in a duel, in jail, or in a siege, boss, or festival zone.

Daily time

One budget per master account

  • 2 hours a day for everyone, 3 hours with Supporter, 4 hours with Legend. See Premium.
  • The budget is shared by every character on your account, and only one of them can farm at a time.
  • Claiming four Weekly Tasks adds one hour a day for seven days to the character that claimed them. The auto-farm window shows it in the total, for example "4h 0m of 5h".
  • Need more today? The auto-farm window sells up to 3 extra hours a day for 100 points each (website points from votes and support). Bought hours belong to the whole account and expire at 00:00 UTC.
  • Only time spent farming counts: resting, rebuffing and fighting off attackers are charged; time you spend playing yourself is not.
  • Resets at 00:00 UTC. Unused time does not carry over.

Rewards

Full XP, half loot

  • XP and SP are earned in full, server rates and Premium boost included.
  • Adena, item drops and spoil are halved while farming. Playing by hand is always the better income.
  • Auto-farm kills never count toward Bounty Hunt tasks. Bounties are for the time you are actually at the keyboard.

Settings

Everything is set in the .autofarm window, saved per character, and applied on the next click. The defaults work for most classes; the two pages worth a look before your first session are Area and Supplies.

Attack

Mode
Melee and skills, Skills only (holds cast range), or Melee only. Fighters default to Melee and skills, mages to Skills only.
Spoil
Shown to characters with a spoil skill (Spoil, or the Resource Hunter talent). On by default: the loop spoils every new target, up to 3 tries, and sweeps the corpse after the kill with your Sweeper or Talent Sweeper.
Skill rotation
Up to 3 saved rotations of up to 10 skills each, built from skills you know. A skill can appear more than once. The active rotation is cast top to bottom, again and again; a skill on cooldown is skipped.
Condition
Optional per skill: cast only while the target is above 90% or 50% HP. If every skill is conditional and the target is below, the conditions are ignored so the kill is finished.
Openers
Up to 3 skills fired once on every new target, before the rotation. Good for debuffs.
Emergency
Up to 2 skills fired when your HP drops under the mark you set (30%, 50% or 70%), at most once every 5 seconds. Heals, buffs and CP restores go on you; HP drains such as Vampiric Claw or Steal Essence go at your target. Frenzy and Zealot still wait for their own 30% rule. Low HP also holds new pulls: under your potion line, or under the mark when potions are off (50% at most).

Buffs

Rebuff from the buffer
None, a preset (Fighter, Mage, Tank, Support), or one of your own saved buffer schemes. Buffs are renewed after the current fight when one is missing or about to run out. No NPC needed.
Fee
The same as the Buffer charges you in person: free under level 60 with no talent reset, 50,000 adena at 60-75, 150,000 at 76+. Farming stops if you cannot pay.
Renew when under
2, 5, or 10 minutes remaining. Songs and dances renew at half their own duration.
Rebuff my pet
None by default. Pick a preset or one of your saved schemes for your companion or servitor, separate from your own (a Fighter set on the cougar under a mage, say). Renewed whenever its buffs are missing or about to run out, for a second buffer fee, like the [Pet] links at the Buffer.
Own buffs
Up to 5 of your own buff skills, recast when they run out. Free.

Supplies

HP potion under
Off, 30%, 50% (default), or 70%. Any HP potion you carry is used, retail or custom.
MP potion under
Off, 30% (default), 50%, or 70%. Cheaper MP potions are used before rare ones.
Rest
Sit when MP is under 20% or 40% (mages default to 20%), stand up again at 80% or 100%. Only when no monster is attacking; being hit stands you up.
Running out
Stop or continue when the HP or MP potions you started with run out, or when the shots you had on auto-use run out. Optionally stop early when fewer than 10 or 50 potions remain. Running out of arrows always stops.

Stop rules

Inventory 80% full
Stop (default) or ignore.
Log out after a stop
Off, 3 or 5 minutes. Applies only to automatic stops: time used up, out of potions, arrows or shots, inventory full, nothing to fight for 5 minutes, cannot rebuff, stuck or unable to walk back. Monsters that attack you during the countdown are fought off. Open the window or use .autofarm to stay logged in.
Player within 600
Ignore (default) or stop when another player comes close.

Area

Range
1200 (default), 1800, 2400, or 3000 units around the point where you pressed Start. With nothing to fight the character walks back to the centre.
Levels
Only monsters within 4, 8 (default), or 12 levels of you are picked, or Any level. Far lower monsters still give the usual reduced XP and drops.
Targets
Any monster, or only monsters attacking you. Raids, minions, chests, quest monsters and monsters already taken by someone else are always skipped. Anything attacking you or your companion is fought regardless.

When it stops

Besides the optional stop rules above, a session always ends when:

  • You die, teleport, or leave the farm area by more than 600 units.
  • You join a party, get flagged for PvP, or enter a town.
  • You start a trade or open a private store.
  • You sit down, or stand up while it is resting.
  • Your daily time is used up.
  • You run out of arrows, or the shots you had on auto-use run out.
  • Nothing to fight for 5 minutes, or skills only mode has no MP for its skills and no way to get it back.
  • A raid boss or one of its minions attacks you. With Log out after a stop on, you are logged out at once instead of standing there.
  • You cannot pay the buffer fee, or your buff set exceeds your buff slots.
  • Your character is stuck, cannot walk back to the start point, or is attacked by a monster it cannot reach.

Every stop tells you why in chat, along with the time you have left today. After an automatic stop the character stays where it is unless you turned on Log out after a stop.

Other players

No escape, no fighting back

  • Auto-farm only ever targets monsters. It never attacks a player, whatever they do.
  • Being attacked by a player does not stop it, log you out, or move you. Your character stands there like any AFK player would, and the normal PvP flag and karma rules apply to whoever attacks it.
  • You have no claim to the spot. Another player may farm it and take the monsters; the loop never takes a monster someone else is fighting.
  • For 10 seconds after any player damage, potions, resting and emergency skills are suspended. A contested spot is contested for real.
  • If you die, the session ends and no logout countdown runs, so you can respawn and react.

Tips

  • Pick a spot with monsters at or below your level, no raid nearby, and a stack of potions in the bag. Turn on Log out after a stop if you are leaving for the night.
  • Every stop prints a summary in chat: time, kills, XP and adena. Read it before you press Start again.
  • Skills only mode needs an active rotation. Add at least one attack skill on the Attack page, or switch to Melee and skills.
  • Set Rebuff to one of your saved buffer schemes so the loop keeps the exact set you play with, not a preset.
  • A Companion works alongside it. Monsters that go for your companion are fought as well.
  • Half loot and no bounty credit are deliberate. Use it for levels, then log in for a Bounty Hunt when you can play.
